Certain thing in Melbourne is totally unacceptable in terms of pricing.
Stationery, mattress covers, bedsheets, printing services costs a bomb over there.
So how? Cham liao lo!
Dun worry... Jusco member day sales and PC Expo solved most of the problem for me for now... Bought like 3 packs of color and black ink cartridges and 1 twin pack of black cartridges for a Canon MP180 printer. Why? Photostating and Printing costs AUS$0.20 each page over there! (RM0.60 per page... in front of my house now can photostat 20 pages d lo zzz)
Will it be hot or cold there? I suddenly feel like foodstuff... either I will get cooked or frozen there if unprepared T.T

Prelude to Melbourne
Yes I am still in Penang at this time, and it's time for me to write this post as everything is settled up to now for my journey to RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology).
Australian Visa...
3 Years duration, until 2013... Should get PR before that date comes!
Had to do medical checkup to show I do not have any weird illnesses... (I wonder if being a sadist counts...)
Best of all it is a digital visa, so no papers or stamps on my passport needed.
Enrollment into RMIT
Done the earliest... I got 11 exemptions thanks to Kenny Khoo (of Studylink Sdn. Bhd.) although Swinburne U gave me a raksasa offer which was unacceptable. 2.5 yrs expected to study there, oh yeah and I am jumping into Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (bye volts and amperes...) The first semester's fees were murder due to the high exchange rate... (at RM3.11 to AUS$1) I feel very bad haiz...
Air Ticket
Booked (no extra details until later)
And I am definitely not swimming there.
Accommodation
Cheapest among all Unilodge is the Unilodge @ Melbourne, the application was a bit of a hoo-hah cuz i did not really trust the online application form, lucky it went through and a bank draft was sent to them without my name so I had to e-mail them one more time...
Will consider moving out at the end of 2011 to even cheaper housing.
Sadly my brother has moved to Queensland and will not be here in Melbourne, well I got to be independent right?
